Privacy and data use

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how RenoCue handles information when contractors use the workspace and when homeowners open secure proposal, agreement, change-order, or payment links.

Effective and last updated: August 31, 2026

1. Who this policy covers

RenoCue is a guided sales-closing service for remodeling contractors. This policy applies to website visitors, contractor account holders and team members, and homeowners or other customers who use a RenoCue secure link.

A contractor is responsible for the customer and project information they place in RenoCue. For that information, RenoCue generally acts as a service provider processing data for the contractor. Contractors remain responsible for giving required notices and having a lawful reason to collect and use their customers' information.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, authentication identifiers, workspace membership, role, and profile settings.
  • Business and sales records: company details, leads, customer contact details, project addresses, notes, proposals, selected packages, add-ons, agreements, change orders, and related status history.
  • Approval and signature evidence: typed names, email confirmations, consent records, timestamps, document versions and digests, and technical evidence needed to preserve an audit trail.
  • Payment information: amount, currency, provider reference, connected-account status, and payment status. Card details are entered on Stripe-hosted pages and are not stored by RenoCue.
  • Technical and security information: IP-derived request information, browser and device details, authentication events, application logs, error reports, and activity needed to protect accounts and diagnose failures.
  • Communications and generated content: messages sent to us and text supplied when an account holder chooses to use AI-assisted drafting.

3. How we use information

  • Provide, secure, maintain, and improve RenoCue.
  • Authenticate users, enforce workspace roles, and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Create and preserve proposals, approvals, agreement versions, signatures, change orders, and payment records.
  • Send service messages, password resets, invitations, and transaction-related notices when those services are configured.
  • Process subscription billing and route homeowner deposits through configured payment providers.
  • Investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, support requests, and application errors.
  • Meet legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

RenoCue does not sell personal information or use customer project records for third-party advertising.

4. Service providers and disclosures

We disclose information only as needed to operate the service, follow a user's instructions, protect the platform, complete a transaction, or comply with law. Depending on the features configured and used, providers may include Supabase for authentication and data infrastructure, Vercel for application hosting, Stripe for contractor onboarding and homeowner payments, Lemon Squeezy for RenoCue subscriptions, Resend for transactional email, Sentry for privacy-filtered error monitoring, and OpenAI for user-requested drafting assistance.

We may also disclose information during a business reorganization or where reasonably necessary to respond to lawful process, prevent harm, investigate misuse, or protect the rights and security of users, customers, RenoCue, or others.

5. Cookies and local storage

RenoCue uses cookies and similar browser storage that are necessary for sign-in, session continuity, security, and core product operation. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. A configured third-party service may set its own essential cookies on a page it hosts, such as a Google sign-in or Stripe checkout page.

6. Retention

We retain information while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and audit requirements. Signed agreements, approvals, payment records, and their integrity evidence may need longer retention because they document a transaction. Retention periods can also depend on the contractor's instructions and applicable law.

7. Security

RenoCue uses safeguards designed for the sensitivity of the service, including authentication, workspace access controls, tenant-isolated database policies, encrypted transport, server-side credential handling, expiring or revocable public links, and audit records for important actions. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users must protect their login details, use secure devices, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

8. International processing

RenoCue and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where a user or homeowner lives. Where required, we rely on contractual or other lawful safeguards for international transfers.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on location, a person may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Account holders should first update information available in their workspace. Homeowners should normally contact the contractor that collected their information; we will assist the contractor where required.

Send unresolved privacy requests to the contact address on this page. We may need to verify identity and authority before acting. Some records cannot be deleted immediately where retention is required for security, legal compliance, transaction evidence, or the rights of another person.

10. Children

RenoCue is a business service and is not directed to children under 18. Do not create an account for a child or intentionally submit a child's personal information unless a lawful, necessary project purpose and appropriate authorization exist.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as RenoCue, its providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change is material and notice is required.
